Maariyah Shaukat joined Blacks in 2023 as a Paralegal in the Landlord Financing & Convyancing team. Prior to joining the firm, she gained experience at national law firms, working on a range of property law related matters.
As of 2026, Maariyah is a Paralegal in the Private Wealth & Succession team, where she assists Partner Annie Beaumont, with a broad range of private client matters, including Wills, lasting powers of attorney, estate administration, inheritance tax, probate conveyancing, and trusts.
Maariyah graduated with a Law degree in 2020 before going on to complete both her Legal Practice Course (LPC) and a Master's in Legal Practice at the University of Law in Manchester. She is due to commence her training contract with the firm in 2027 as she works towards qualifying as a Solicitor.
In addition to her client work, Maariyah serves as a Work Experience Coordinator at Blacks and helps manage the students attending placements. She also plays an active role in the firm's Charity team, helping to organise fundraising initiatives and community engagement projects.
