James Martin

James Martin is in our Commercial Dispute Resolution team. He was promoted to Legal Director in 2025. He joined us in 2021, bringing over a decade of specialist experience in commercial litigation. Since qualifying in 2009, his focus has been on resolving complex business disputes for clients across a range of industries.

His clients include companies and individuals in sectors such as construction, energy and agriculture. James advises on a wide variety of matters, including contract disputes, shareholder disagreements, professional negligence claims and property litigation.

Representation in the Business and Property Courts forms a regular part of his practice, with experience extending to matters that have progressed to appeal. James also supports clients through Alternative Dispute Resolution, including Arbitration and Adjudication, helping them achieve practical outcomes without the need for trial.
