Seminar | Mock Employment Tribunal

November 5, 2026
29 King St, Leeds, LS1 2HL

Date: Thursday 5 November 2026 ‍

Time: 14:00 - 17:00

‍Location: 29 King St, Leeds, LS1 2HL

This year’s event will explore how Employment Tribunals approach allegations of sexual harassment. You’ll see the hearing unfold as a Tribunal case, including witness evidence, cross-examination, and judgment. It’s a chance to see the process first-hand and understand the legal and reputational issues employers need to consider.

The case follows Samantha, a Commercial Administrator at a construction company, who raises allegations of sexual harassment against her line manager. These relate to comments made during a one-to-one meeting and an incident involving unwanted physical contact. Following the company’s internal process, Samantha believes her concerns haven’t been properly addressed. She resigns and brings claims in the Employment Tribunal.

The event will also consider employers’ duty to take reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment, which has been in force since October 2024. We’ll explore what taking a proactive approach looks like in practice, how employers can help prevent harassment, and how they should respond when concerns are raised.

You’ll observe the full hearing and have the opportunity to discuss the case with our Employment team and Counsel. They’ll explore the key legal issues, answer your questions, and share practical guidance on preventing, managing, and responding to complaints of sexual harassment in the workplace.
