An important part of our philosophy is the recruitment of individuals who have the potential to excel and who will hopefully achieve the position of assistant solicitor with the firm once their training contact has concluded.

We have retained a considerable proportion of our trainee intake in recent years and are looking to continue that trend. Growth from within is very much a priority. Indeed, no less than 6 of the present partners originally joined the firm as trainees.

We usually recruit three trainees per year with training contracts commencing on 1st September each year.

Not surprisingly, any applicant to the firm must have impressive A level grades and no less than a 2.1 degree from a recognised university. You need to be enthusiastic and committed and have the ability to use your initiative. Confidence and a sense of humour are essential. Shrinking violets need not apply.

If selected for a training contract you will spend 2 years working in 4 different departments and in each you will receive a high level of training whilst experiencing considerable client contact.
